Roles

Collaboration

There are three roles: Chief Editor, Associate Editor, and Writer.

The Chief Redactor

This is the person who creates the magazine. Their responsibilities include:

  • Adding, deleting, moving, and editing pages
  • Inviting contributors: naming them, assigning them a role, and allocating pages for them to edit
  • Changing the role of the contributors
  • Revoking these same contributors (thus reclaiming their pages)
  • Delegating their role to one of their deputies, who then becomes the Chief Redactor
  • Defining the collaboration settings (see below)
  • Publishing and unpublishing the magazine.

There is only one Chief Editor per magazine.

The Associate Editor

Their responsibilities include:

  • Editing the pages assigned to them by the Chief Editor and reassigning them back
  • Inviting writers: naming them and assigning them one or more pages from those assigned by the Chief Editor
  • Revoking these writers (thus reclaiming their pages)
  • Depending on the collaboration settings defined by the Chief Editor, they may have additional responsibilities.

There can be as many Associate Editors as there are pages in the magazine.

The Writer

Their responsibilities include:

  • Editing the pages assigned to them by the Chief Editor or Associate Editor and reassigning them back
  • Depending on the collaboration settings defined by the Chief Editor, they may have additional responsibilities.

There can be as many Writers as there are pages in the magazine.
